  • The summer reading writing project for A Christmas Carol is due on Friday, August 30, 2019, they received the rubric and instructions last week.
  • Students will receive the schedule for their reading checks for the novel they are reading on their own, Blood on the River.
  • Warm-up will be students adding to their vocabulary log.
  • Continue to read the forward, "A Note to the Reader" in Written in Bone to determine the meaning of unknown and multi-meaning words in the text.

  • Students will begin to read Written in Bone, Chapter One, "A Grave Mystery" identifying conclusions and evaluating evidence that supports each conclusion in the informational text.
