  • Warm-up Chomp 11: Central idea of a poem of a dialogue between a father and son.
  • Students will continue reading Chapter 2 and 3 of Written in Bone, identifying the main idea of each section and determine the central idea of the text and how the author develops that idea.

 Tuesday, September 10, 2019

  • Warm-up Chomp 12: Five parts of plot to a story.
  • Students will continue reading Chapter 2 and 3 of Written in Bone, identifying the main idea of each section and determine the central idea of the text and how the author develops that idea.

 Wednesday, September 11, 2019   

  • Warm-up Chomp 13: Text structure and word meaning, “Bigfoot”
  • Blood on the River, Chapter 1-15 read check.
  • Students will begin to identify claims and analyze the text evidence that supports the claims in two informational texts, “August-September 1607” excerpt, and Written in Bone 

Thursday, September 12, 2019    Parent-Teacher Conferences 3:15 – 6:00

  • Warm-up Chomp 14: Best  research resources to be used for an essay on a famous musician.
  • Students will visit the library to find a book they want to read. Your student should be reading at home at least 30 minutes every day.

  • Students will continue to identify claims and analyze the text evidence that supports the claims in two informational texts, “August-September 1607” excerpt, and Written in Bone.
