  • Students will continue the study of the novel, A Christmas Carol, they will with a partner analyze sensory details, figurative language, connotations and the impact on Scrooge’s characterization.

  • Warm-up Journal 7: How would you characterize Bob Cratchit’s attitude toward Scrooge? Complete journal with directions on Curve)
  • Students will continue the study of the novel, A Christmas Carol, they will analyze how the author establishes, conveys, and contrasts the points of view of different characters.

  • Warm-up Journal 8: What is your favorite part of A Christmas Carol so far? Complete journal with directions on Curve)
  • Students will complete with a partner the FlipGrid discussion project for the short story, “The Gift of the Magi.”
  • Students who have returned their FIT ticket will complete the quiz for “The Treasure of Lemon Brown.”
  • Students will also complete a “Quizzizz” for “The Gift of the Magi.”

  • Students will complete a read check for A Christmas Carol, Stave 1.
  • Students will continue the study of the novel, A Christmas Carol, they will analyze how the author establishes, conveys, and contrasts the points of view of different characters.

  • Warm-up: Journal 10: What are you most thankful for? Complete journal with directions on Curve)
  • Students will receive the information for the “FlipGrid” discussion project for the short story, “The Necklace”.” Students will need to read the story and be able to have a discussion with a partner on December 4th.
