Parents and students,
Bon Lin Middle wants to encourage students to read as many books as they can over the summer. There is no set list of books. Students get to choose the books they want to read.
Students will need to submit a Summer Reading Log to their Homeroom teacher by August 12. The Summer Reading Log must be signed by a parent to be turned in.
Students will receive 3 Lynx Loot for every book read over the summer. Lynx Loot can be used to purchase rewards and entries into school raffles throughout the school year. The top readers from each grade level will be invited to an ice cream party at the beginning of the school year. Students can even win a chance to choose books to keep from our librarian, Ms. Mitchell.
Books should be at a reading level appropriate for middle school or higher and be a minimum of 100 pages in length. Students can turn in multiple completed and signed Summer Reading Logs.
Also, students can help raise money for the BLMS Library by joining the Bartlett Library Summer Reading program.
Register at the Bartlett Library and get a reading log to track your minutes. When you come back to the library over the summer to log your reading minutes, you earn beads to put in our jar. More beads means more money for our library
We encourage everyone to READ this summer. Have a wonderful summer break.
