About Me
I am Brandi Burdick, your student's 6th-8th grade case manager. My husband and I both work for Bartlett City Schools and my three children attend a Bartlett City School. I have been working with gifted students for over 15 years and it has been an adventure and a great joy. I look forward to working with you and your child to make sure that they reach their educational potential.
Many parents ask me about the difference between elementary and middle school services. The biggest difference is that APEX is no longer a pull-out program in middle school. Your child will participate in the Exceptional courses that match their area of exceptionality. Bartlett offers Exceptional English-Language Arts, Exceptional Math, and/or Exceptional Science. One area will be selected during your child's IEP meeting in 5th grade. The other areas will be based on how your child scores on a rubric. The rubric factors in grades, test scores, attendance, and teacher recommendations.
Please take a moment to browse my webpage to learn more about your gifted student and opportunities that are available to them. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
I look forward to meeting with each of you throughout the year during your child's IEP meeting.
